17.46 Today’s contribution to ordering my life & environment: clearing the mess beneath the roll-top of the 1920s mahogany roll-top desk acquired from my Father’s Wimborne auction room, Welch & Lock, in 1968. The desk went, firstly, to the pad shared with Greg Lake in Leinster Square, Bayswater (1968-69); then briefly to an apartment in Chelsea; onto Westbourne Park Grove & to Thornhill Cottage at Holt in 1971, Fernhill House in Witchampton (1980), Reddish House in Broad Chalke (1987), Evershot Old Mansion in West Dorset (1999), and now Bredonborough. It will, hopefully, remain here until I die.
An early gentling ahead.
